It has arrived! YESSS.

After 3 years of drooling over pole videos & wanting my own pole…it FINALLY arrived Friday! Apparently I was at the end of the FedEx guy’s route, it came after 5pm. Needless to say, I stayed up most of the night ๐Ÿ™‚ Putting it up is simple! I was amazed at how simple it was for such a sturdy pole! Yesterday, my sister in laws came over while our guys went to get some video games & I taught them the basics (pole sit, pole climb, fireman spin, etc) We put it on spinny mode and…wooow does that thing spin haha! Definitely going to learn things on static first. But yes, I have recruited two more pole addicts! We are each chipping in for a year of studio veena’s online pole lessons & are going to practice together once a week. I have been doing some prep exercises each day for inverting. Between the pole sit, pole climb & the invert prep work, I can already feel a difference in my upper body! I thought pull ups were a good upper body workout…and they are! …but man…there isn’t anything quite like poling!

Speaking of upper body strength–I’m a little worried about getting too…beefed up haha. I mean, buff isn’t the look I’m going for. I don’t want man arms/shoulders ๐Ÿ˜› Some girls like that, but I’m just not into it. My hubby is cool with more definition/muscle on me than I am. I’m going to see if there is any way I can pole yet keep the LEAN muscle tone going. I’m not sure it is possible, but if there is a way, I am going to find it! ๐Ÿ™‚

My childhood abuse no longer defines me, thanks to my Savior Jesus Christ...and as a result of giving ALL parts of my life to Him, I have more peace and joy than I can ever remember having!
